Hello Sailor

I like anchors.
H&M Striped Boatneck Top (love the button detailing at the cuffs, $10 on sale)
Old Navy Rocksar Jeans in Sea Salt (I believe they renamed the white shade.)
Wildfox Couture Anchor Scarf (super duper long scarf, from Hautelook)
J. Crew Anchor iPhone Case (purchased during the last 40% off sale. The power button is kind of hard to push now, but the volume buttons are fine.)
Even though it's supposed to be a 'navy' case, it is rather purple in real life.

I know it's a little much with the anchors, but hey I like it!

Oh yeah I decided to take my hair down after work. When I'm at my desk, I like to put it up and get it out of the way. When I don't have hair ties, I improvise with some (dried out) pens. There's so much static electricity around I can't stand having my hair down.
I haven't bought anything from Forever21 for a good while now. So the last time I stepped inside and spotted these peep toe wedges, I thought hey what the heck, I'll try them on. I walked around the store and browsed around with these in hand. Then I tried them on again and ... again...and then decided to purchase them...because I ended up really liking them.
I was surprised, because usually I'm not intrigued by anything from Forever21's shoe selection.

Now I know they're not much to look at. They're rather plain and kind of boring, but I really like how simple the design is. They're so versatile for office wear, a casual warm day, and so on.

Also they're a lot more comfortable than I'd expect from a shoe with a 4 inch heel and no platform. The shoe itself feels squishy to walk in, not stiff and hard. However, the edges of the shoe are a little bit rough and scratchy, but hey what can you expect from a $25 pair of shoes? Still, I wore these at work today and I didn't even remember I was wearing heels. Of course I'm sitting most of the time, but when I do get up and walk around, I just plain forget that I'm wearing wedges and not flats.

I got these in size 5.5. Most of the time I'm a size 6, so I do think these run pretty big. Once I start walking, there's a little gap behind my heels, but I can add a pad if it becomes too bothersome.

  4. The H&M top is a perfect fit on you. Great styling... I love "boring" shoes, they anchor any outfit, no pun intended. :)
