Happy Birthday to me...

and so I got...

a Chanel GST in navy blue caviar leather with silver hardware.

I considered black for a good while, but I couldn't stay away from blue. Blue is practically a neutral color, at least I think it could be one. I also think blue goes better with silver. I would have loved it in black with gold hardware, but I think I'd prefer that color combination for a smaller evening bag, say perhaps a classic flap? lol I'm getting ahead of myself. For now I will bask in bliss from making my first Chanel purchase.

I could barely contain myself.

I know I look awful in that picture, but it's so funny so I thought I'd share it. This was after a long night of last minute gift wrapping, followed by a bit of exhaustion from traveling and working a little on Christmas Eve.

P.S. this was my gift to myself and my birthday was a couple of weeks ago. I was not a New Years baby lol.
